To make positive impacts globally through acts of compassion, inspiration, and education. Striving to be a better mentor, leader, and growing every day.

Not sure but I wonder why he hasn’t made this a bigger deal. I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten to the level where he talks about it at every speech. From this sense, it’s suspicious.
@ai_for_success
I could prompt all day with ChatGPT 4o and don’t get the limit, with Claude 3, not so much. I hit the limit after few prompts. It’s a paid account. So, nope. Not until I know this won’t be the case. Though I’m already paying for Claude:)

I want a supervisor who is genuinely honest and consistent and whose feedback are driven by mutual interests, not just theirs. It’s a partnership that should be built on trust.
I've heard some folks say not to take work personally and some say you have to. Regardless, as a leader, one must care about the folks they serve and work with. Staff are not just "resources" but rather human beings who are also going through life trials and tribulations.
When your supervisor(s) actively provides opportunities for you to thrive and to grow, it’s easy to support them and reciprocate their actions by helping them advance their priorities. True partnership.

Help me understand better. How are they trapped? Golden handcuffs? They seem to be in a good financial situation, better than a lot of people who retire and don’t even have assets. What is trapping them?
@petergyang
Count me in as one of the satisfied owners. I have owned many wearables all the way back from Google Glass. Meta Ray Ban is the most functional and dependable wearable I’ve owned.
@Fonzmck
@SethAbramson
Right. I totally get that. Plus rewatch the last part. The double standard is beyond unfair so why should she do media interviews? We are on the same page here and name calling unnecessary.
@ForePlayPod
Can you imagine if he would have won the tournament using that damaged driver and pga disqualifies him for using an altered or non-conforming equipment? Insane but possibility given this ruling.
@rekdt
When we migrated our system from mainframe to web interface, we had to keep some key functions (e.g. F1,F2,…) or there was going to be some unhappy admins. We obliged:)
Read an article this morning that faculty and students are the two essential elements of institutions of higher learning. I do wish that the contributions of the staff are considered essential as well. That’s just my humble opinion.

Yes! “One person taking interest in you makes a difference.” Personal experience, I can attest. Why I take mentoring others and my mentors seriously.

@ayushunleashed
Experience and age provides different perspectives in life. Be grateful where you are in your life and don’t take things for granted. Humility is a good thing.
Not just faculty mentors. For some, the custodians in the residence halls, the student affairs pros, and other staff are the mentors
#firstgen
students can relate with and find support.

Jobs posted with salary range instead of “commensurate with experience” probably would save job seekers and hiring orgs unnecessary headaches and wasted energy. Don’t you think?
#highered
One can start building relationships with students their first day on campus, their graduation day, and anytime in between. Every interaction is opportunity to make connection.

@dotinglyricism
Realization that ultimately it all comes down to me in terms of how I view my world, how I feel about things that happen, and how I act/react/feel in my world.
How do you keep passionate young professionals and students in the field when they want to make change but institutions push them down and want to keep status quo?
#NASPA18
Some of the students Pres. Napolitano is talking about are our NUFP students who will carry their values and marginalized experiences into the student affairs profession and use them to open doors for others. Fortunate to have met and work with these students.
#NASPA19
As supervisors, don’t just talk about work/life balance, model it! When you work continuously on weekends/after hours, you are sending a sign to your staff.
