I’m excited for the new challenge at @Hednesford_Town and can’t wait to get going tomorrow 🖤🤍
Hednesford Town FC is proud to announce the signing of Joe Doyle-Charles, a statement of intent as Gavin Hurren secures his first player since taking over as Manager. Joe, widely regarded as one of the best central midfielders in Step 3, brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and quality to Keys Park. As the captain of Coalville, Joe was a key figure in their success and has most recently been playing at a higher level with Leamington. His signing represents a significant coup for the club and highlights the ambition under Gavin Hurren’s leadership. Our Manager Gavin Hurren expressed his delight at the signing: “I’m excited to bring Joe to Hednesford Town. He was always one of my top targets, and securing his signature shows the direction we’re heading as a club. Joe is not just an exceptional player—he’s a leader, a winner, and someone who embodies the values and culture we’re building here. He’s here to complement the rest of the squad, help us win and move the club forward. “I want to take this opportunity to thank Craig and Amanda, along with the board of directors, for their support in making this happen. This is a big signing for us and one that I’m sure will excite our supporters.” Joe’s arrival signals a new era at Keys Park, one built on ambition, hard graft, and a commitment to building a culture the supporters can be proud of. Director of Football Andrew Reed added ‘ I am absolutely delighted to get Joe over the line. It was interesting that Joe was on top of both mine and Gav’s lists for a CM. Joe has been in fine form this season at Leamington and has been a stand out player for Coalville for the past few seasons. He ticks a lot of boxes, brings huge quality and we believe he will bring a lot to our group’ Joe himself had the following to say: ‘ I’m delighted to be here and excited for a new chapter in my career. Once I was aware of Hednesford ‘s interest it was a move that made a lot of sense to me and I’m excited to be here. I’ve always enjoyed playing at Keys Park and to now be part of the Hednesford team is something I’m really proud of. I can’t wait to get going ‘ *** Joes first interview as a Hednesford Player with Operations Manager Jack Bevan will be aired over the weekend ***
