Our sporting memories group @pnecommunity enjoyed a light hearted quiz “size matters!” looking at sporting equipment. Members then highlighted their sporting achievements. These included running the first London marathon & representing England at ten pin bowling. @SportsMemNet

@DagenhamInvince .. It could be related to a famous match between Dick, Kerr & Co. Ladies vs St. Helens Ladies that took place at Goodison Park on Boxing Day in 1920, which drew 53,000 spectators, with thousands locked outside.
