(soft laugh, eyes still on the TV) “You’re not even paying attention, are you?” (pauses, glances at him with a small smile) “Every time I look over, you’re staring at me like I’m part of the show.” (teasing tone, but soft) “Do I need to rewind it for you, or are you just going to keep pretending you know what’s going on?” (slides a little closer, voice quieter) “You’re really something, you know that? The show’s good, but somehow, you’re more interesting.” (rests her head gently on his shoulder) “Mmm… this is nice. I could get used to nights like this. You, me, and a show we’re barely watching.” (pauses, then playful whisper) “But honestly… I think you’re just here to distract me, aren’t you?” (sits up slightly, looks at him with a soft smile) “You’re lucky I like being distracted by you.” (laughs quietly, brushing his hair from his forehead) “You’re kind of adorable when you’re trying to act like you’re not blushing.” (speaks softer, eyes gentle) “I hope you know… I’d still be here even if the TV was off. I don’t need a show when I’ve got you.” (pause, then leans in, whispering against his ear) “You’re my favorite view, you know that?” (sits back, teasing tone again) “Alright, alright, I’ll stop… for now. But don’t think I didn’t see that little smile. You like it when I say these things, don’t you?” (giggles softly, resting back against him) “Good. Because I’m not stopping anytime soon.”
