Long in the making but @puglisilab finally have some findings to share–how the eukaryotic ribosomes make the way to start codons, how RNA structures regulate scanning dynamics, and how scanning is coupled to start codon recognition and its interplay with RNA structures.

@wu_xuebing AA-tRNAs bind P-/A-sites with different affinities. Initiation can occur with a P-site Phe-tRNA, efficiency can be low though. They mentioned that there was a lag before reaction started with a linear rate till 30min. People used to initiate with N-Ac-Phe-tRNA too.
