You're right that it would be very unusual to cut a player for isolated concussion. Players can get waived in camp for asso reasons: -on bubble or unlikely to make team so gets waived so team can bring in another guy to try out while recovering. -other medical issues unrelated to concussion could be a factor.

@Euler277777 Cartilage damage is often permanent. Short-term can be fine for a while but problems can develop over time. Lots of variability in outcome.

Amon-Ra St. Brown out for Pro Bowl due to "injury" -No obvious injury in final game and looked fine. -Had healthy year, played all games. -Possible mild left thigh/groin and right calf strain during year but nothing major.
Giants say (in the link) Malik Nabers is filling in for Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, "who is unable to participate due to injury." Same reason why Taylor Decker is subbing in for Penei Sewell. Not exactly uncommon; St. Brown replaced Philadelphia’s AJ Brown last year.

Penei Sewell L knee injury video -Credit @NFLonFox for picking up on this quickly -Gets bent over on flexed knee. Played rest of game with a left knee brace. -Hope just mild patella/quad tendon strain and no joint cartilage damage.

Glasgow's health is a concern going forward. Listed with a knee 2x during season, missed 1g. May have had a chronic knee all year. If knee indeed chronic (eg cartilage), may not get better rest of career. If knee is healable (eg ligament sprain), could be improved next yr.

@XLR_8nb @PrideOfDetroit The only 2 that I think may have been preventable due to friendly fire are Amik and Anzalone. With Anzalone, hard to blame Branch because Anzalone was reaching and didn't have the guy wrapped up at all.

Jared Goff concussion eval video -Facemask/helmet appears to absorb most of the contact. Head does not bounce off ground. -No obvious concussion signs on video (LOC, ataxia, dazed). Returned to game after a few plays.

Excellent update here on Amik Robertson who is signed for 1 more year with the Lions....
#Lions CB Amik Robertson underwent surgery for the broken humerus he suffered Saturday night and all went well, per source. Robertson, who was having his best season, is expected to be ready for offseason workouts.
