There is a winter mix of precipitation for the Thursday morning commute in CNY. Not a lot of snow or ice but enough slow down your commute to work or school. Syracuse warms above freezing by midday. There should should be less travel issues for evening commute. #nywx

The Lake Ontario water temperature is now back to 'average' but as is usual for this time of year, ice cover is on the lake is just less then 20%, so plenty of open water to help cause lake effect snow the rest of the winter. #nywx
