I rode the AHL busses with Tommy for 3 1/2 years and never learned so much nor laughed so hard. I met him shortly after losing my father and he became like a 2nd dad. So many stories! A true hockey lifer. He’s congratulating me for making it to the NHL in this pic. RIP, my friend
Rest in Peace Tom McVie. A legend of the sport and our community, he was the first ever AHL coach in Utica. Tom was an outstanding leader, and an incredible human being.

In my time covering the @Phillies, there were few, if any, people I looked more forward to spending time with than Bob Uecker. He was hilarious. In fact, as you can probably tell, he cracked a joke just as this pic was taken. A national treasure, he will be missed. RIP

Sad news from earlier on the passing of former @Eagles great Bill Bergey. I watched him fiercely crush opponents on the field during his career. Then I chatted with him on Phils’ pregame and he was anything but fierce, always so friendly and upbeat. A “gem” of a guy. RIP
