My daughter doesn’t want to be a teacher anymore. “It feels like a job where you’re likely to get shot.” She’s 9. My 6th grader is worried that the intruder drill procedure doesn’t change each year. “If it’s a kid that goes to school here, he’ll know how we’ll try to escape.”
3 students shot (all critical condition) at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, CO is the 158th shooting at a k-12 school so far in 2025.
