Doesn’t always work. My cat would bring in rabbits and rats. Sometimes dead, many times still alive. Great at bringing them in. Then he’d stare at them while they scurried under a cabinet. One rat lived in our house for 6 months before it was caught. 6 mo’s! And we had two cats!
