Exactly one year later, Jose Alvarado tonight: 16 points, 10 assists, six steals, no turnovers for New Orleans.
Don’t think this has been discussed much - Jose Alvarado is a legit NBA prospect. Size/age will work against him, but his hands and defensive instincts are wildly good, he’s tough as hell, he’s become pretty efficient, and he never stops battling. I’d bet on him finding a way. .

Some news: I’m excited to contribute draft coverage at ESPN moving forward, beginning with a brand-new mock, tag-teaming with @DraftExpress. Lots to unpack between now and June!

Shayok finishes with 37 (7-9 from three) in inarguably the most exciting game of the tournament so far. Breakout day for Xavier center Zach Hankins with 24 points and 8 boards. Wyoming’s Justin James (16/8/5) had a number of impressive moments as well.
Iowa State’s Marial Shayok with 24 points in the first half of his game here (8-14, 4-6 3FG). Not sure what the tournament record is and I’m too lazy to look it up but can report that he is playing well.
