The fact that youre trying to draw a connection from me spending money to the government spending money tells me exactly how serious to take you. I assure you, I could afford to spend thousands more if I wanted to. But thats the thing. I keep a precise budget and keep track of every cent I spend. Can you say the same for the government? Of fucking course not.

When I was a NCOIC of our tool room, I got admonished by my shop chief for doing a full cost breakdown from Snap On compared to other bulk tool competitors. I found that our shop alone would be saving thousands of dollars switching over to a different company, and we were relatively small compared to the AMUs. I was told doing so wasnt in the purview of my job and that pushing the issue would create "unecessary work load and upset the business relationship we had with Snap On". It was definitely a watershed moment for my political beliefs regarding government spending 😅

@TheHod81 @counterconor For specialized hardware and tools, this is true. However. The vast amount of maitenance tools are not under this category and are being purchased at insane prices.

@DevilAspiring @counterconor I understand that with regards to special parts. However, I have first hand experience with the excessive costs of run of the mill hardware and tools. Not too mention the rediculous shit contractors pull. Its infuriating.
