He was my Ski-ing hero as a kid - the Muhammad Ali of the slopes if you like - and 49yrs ago today the great FRANZ KLAMMER won the Men’s Downhill Gold on home turf (Patscherkofel - Austria) with this incredible, unforgettable run. Sit back, marvel & enjoy.

I saw The Warriors in the theater at 10 years old with my brother Drew and father Robert. I thought this scene with the baseball fight was the coolest thing ever!
Happy Birthday, Michael Beck I'll always love The Warriors (1979). Beck accidentally broke a stuntman's ribs while filming this fight scene with The Baseball Furies, he was totally unaware of this until the same stuntman told him at a Warriors reunion 37 years later.

Brandon Lee would've been 60 years old today. Brandon Lee in The Crow (1994) buzzed with charisma, he was self-assured, emotionally nuanced, vengeful yet vulnerable. Sadly, his breakthrough movie became his swan song, which adds an additional layer of tragedy to the film.

On this MLK Day, I am reminded of what courage looks like, of what standing up & marching for what you believe in looks like. I am thankful to MLK for showing my children that righteousness doesn’t hide behind masks but stands proud for all to see against hate and prejudice.
