Here are my “deep” thoughts on the DeepSeek driven selloff – It’s too soon to draw conclusions on the entire AI complex. Something seems amiss. As recently as last week, many of the world’s largest tech co.’s talked about hundreds of billions of AI infrastructure spending. Adding to that, who knows if DeepSeek’s claims are true in terms of costs or what chips they used. Regardless, we are in the early innings of AI and fully expect there will be competition, fits, and starts. Either way, lower costs models could result in wider adoption and in turn a greater need for chips, data storage and the power to fuel them. We remain constructive knowing that there is going to be a fair amount of volatility.
