Five targets for this weekend… 1. Make next week's plan. You are more productive and less stressed when you’re organized. 2. Choose challenging paths that lead to excellent places. Don't let this weekend steal the progress you made this week. 3. Sleep. When you're rested, you're less susceptible to relationship conflict and more productive. 4. Invest in Relationships. Prioritize quality time with your spouse, children, or friends. Deep relationships don’t develop accidentally—they require intentional effort and time. 5. Go to church on Sunday. You need it!

What a day! I started my afternoon with @LittleRockBSB and wrapped it up at the Thompson Electric annual company meeting. I taught on the importance of staying focused, disciplined, steadfast, unified, and grateful as we move forward. — I also got some new gear!

Man School: Building Leaders with Ouachita Football. Yesterday marked the final session of Man School, a three-week, intentionally designed leadership course for Ouachita Football. Coach Knight asked me to develop and teach a series aimed at cultivating an appetite for excellence and leadership in these young men—both on and off the field. We focused on six core principles: Drive—the relentless pursuit of excellence; Discipline—an unwavering commitment to doing what is right; Diligence—ensuring every task is executed with precision; Determination—pushing forward through adversity; Dependability—consistently delivering excellence; and Demanding—holding oneself and others accountable to the highest standard. Whenever I design a course for a school, team, or organization, I always start in the same place—God’s Word. All Truth is God’s Truth. Every leadership principle rooted in truth is found in Scripture, and these principles are not confined to a single aspect of life—they are universal. Dealing with distractions? Look at how Nehemiah responded to Sanballat (Nehemiah 6:3)—he refused to be pulled away from his work and stayed focused on his mission. Need accountability? See how Moses responded to Jethro’s wisdom (Exodus 18:17-24)—he humbly accepted counsel and delegated responsibilities to lead more effectively. Struggling with time management? Reflect on Psalm 90:12—"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Scripture is filled with leadership wisdom that applies to every area of life. Biblical leadership principles provide a foundation for excellence and impact, whether leading a team, a family, or your own life. The real challenge is applying it daily. Perhaps it’s time for Man School (or Woman School) in your own life! I encourage you to dive into God’s Word today and apply its truth to every aspect of your life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Let Scripture teach, correct, guide, and strengthen you in moments of challenge and your daily pursuit of excellence. In any area of life, true leadership begins with aligning yourself with God’s truth and living it out daily.

What an amazing five weeks with these incredible individuals at The Church at Rock Creek Immerse Institute! They have accomplished so much—reading 284 pages of Living By The Book by Howard Hendricks, diving deep into every verse of Galatians, completing homework each week, and collaborating in groups to strengthen their understanding. They are equipped with the tools to read and study the Bible with confidence. Professor Curry couldn’t be prouder!

Direction Determines Destination: Small decisions—whether in health, finances, relationships, or any area of life—compound over time, shaping your future. A person prioritizing discipline and consistency will arrive at a far different destination than someone drifting without direction. If your goal is meaningful, your daily actions must align with it. You won't reach a destination of excellence while traveling a path of mediocrity. The good news? You can change course if you don’t like where you’re headed. Every step in the right direction brings you closer to what matters most!

The secret to excellence is elimination. The greatest athletes, leaders, and achievers understand that winning isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing less, but doing it better. Maximizing your ability isn’t just about talent—it requires cutting out distractions, removing excuses, and eliminating anything that causes drift. Discipline, focus, and clarity provide a competitive edge. When you let go of what holds you back, you find your stride and run your race with purpose. Today, define what truly matters and start letting go of what doesn’t align. I’m in your corner!

Do You Want a Marriage That Flourishes? The secret to a thriving marriage is agape love—a love that is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional. This is the love God has for us and the love He calls us to show in our marriage. Unlike romantic (eros) or friendship (philia) love, agape love is a choice—not based on emotions, attraction, or circumstances. It means loving your spouse unconditionally, regardless of feelings or what you receive in return. How to Practice Agape Love in Marriage: Choose to Love Daily – Love is more than a feeling; it’s an action. Even when emotions fade, choose to love your spouse unconditionally. Serve Sacrificially – Show love through small acts of kindness without expecting anything in return. Love grows when we give freely. Forgive Quickly – Agape love keeps no record of wrongs. Let go of grudges and embrace grace—it strengthens your bond. Be Patient and Kind – Use words that build up, not tear down. Choose gentleness over frustration. Stay Committed in Difficult Seasons – Hardships test love, but choosing love in tough times strengthens your marriage and reflects God’s love. Pray for Your Spouse – Ask God to help you love your spouse the way He loves them. Prayer aligns your heart with His purpose for your marriage. Marriage thrives when we love like Christ. Choose agape love today and watch what God does in your marriage!
