The ripple effect of that conversation was significant. During day 5 of GTAcademy Gav flicked a switch within me sat down at Silverstone. My performance then skyrocketed. Hadn’t seen Gav for over 10 years until yesterday at a Charity Karting event.

My incentive in 2008 school exams was to acquire a simulator rig, which I needed cash. Parents struck a deal with me. Used that £180 to buy a wheel and pedals for which I used to qualify for GTAcademy and the things after. Trying to learn about other peoples incentives.
