@eurovisionbrent The final is still a big deal but in the mid to late 2010's it was THE NF. Other NFs are really catching up though. UMK is now a major highlight of the calendar after a weird couple of years for example. It's still good, it's just not the only game in town anymore.

@eurovisionbrent YLE could have gotten that show away in 90 mins in all honesty. Melfest have twice the amount of songs but get the show away in 2 hours. Not taking away from a great production but there was scope to tighten up.

To be fair, Iceland got "anus in the air" through in 1987 so "Kant/Cunt" might slip the net. Personally I find the whole "serving cunt" thing a bit vulgar, but I've always grown up being told that "cunt" is a bad word and now it's a good one?

@iamiglilime There is ZERO way that a country in a state of war, with its citizens currently living in several other European countries, is going to NQ from an ALL TELEVOTE semi. Absolutely zero. I would bet my entire life savings & every last penny to my name on a Ukraine Q.

@americaneurofan That is the reality. If you took, say, Wild Youth - We Are One and changed the name of the country in the bottom left of the screen to say "Ukraine" boom you have your Q. It's not their fault though, if you're not in Ukraine you can dial up for your country on a local number.

@eurovisionbrent The reality is 🇺🇦 Many Ukrainians aren't actually in Ukraine, so can vote for Ukraine on the local number. 🇮🇱 Europe's Jewish community is going to mob up Both countries are a locked Q for several years. They're also going to be Top 5 on Televote.

@escbetting Disagree. They have the televote on their side. There's just too many Ukrainians not actually in Ukraine (thus able to dial local numbers) for them not to be in the running surely?

@MatthewJRamsden The trick now is to stage it so it can pull enough from the Juries on one side, and see off the diaspora votes for Ukraine/Israel on the other. Pretty much a locked Q though.
