@vlada_mc @KelmendiVisar @bluesky Thanks both. But really, it is horrible here now. Things are much calmer and more pleasant on Bluesky. I’ve actually just had a fairly strong debate on video over there, but it was far more civilised. As Twitter used to be. Come find me there. :-)

@FlamurKrsq @BrahoAlisa Also, you present my argument about not doing Kosovo in a completely distorted manner. I was referring to your dissertation. I always suggest this to everyone who comes from a conflict zone. It is a great chance to look beyond one’s immediate issues and learn from other cases.

Reports have emerged that #NorthKorea is preparing to send troops to help #Russia’s forces in #Ukraine. This comes after Moscow and Pyongyang signed a mutual defence pact. So, what lies behind this new alliance? And why is it in fact risky for both sides?

@SBarrettBar As a lawyer, you should know perfectly well the U.K. had been on the wrong end of an ICJ case on a very specific matter of international law. Stop playing to the nationalist gallery with silly points and perhaps explain the issue - as a lawyer - to those who might not understand.

@Dust_Foot @TypeForVictory No. But it gives the U.K. more moral authority to call out others. We can point out that we respected an ICJ ruling, even when it went against us. Russia is not the benchmark. And, by the way, lots of countries respect international law.

@Dust_Foot @TypeForVictory Yes, they do. That’s why Britain took the decision to hand them back. It was far more significant than most of those now outraged ever realised. Perhaps if they weren’t so inward looking nationalists, they might have understood this.

@Lmz420Andy800 @TypeForVictory Yes, they did. It completely undermined Britain’s standing. And it’s interesting that those now most outraged are the insular little England’s who didn’t understand the wider significance of this issue.

@asenevents Thanks for the shout out! The news came just too late for this week’s video. But I hope to cover it next week. It is a huge decision.

@Dave_J_Bryant @mjf_michael @LizWebsterSBF Not sure I see your point? This is about encouraging EU students to come to British universities, which are facing huge financial problems. It’s also undermined Britains soft power. We’re no longer the country of choice for EU students. That has a profound long term consequences.
