@HarryNSkinner Typically you don’t “educate” patriotism. You just do things for citizens to be proud of. For Britain, I’d say that peaked with the 2012 London Olympics.

Only 41% of 18-27 year olds are proud to be British. That is down from 80% in 2004. Our education system is broken.

@keslupo Other than phones, I’ve tried a “Retroist” approach to technology in general. I still use iPods, physical media, and other single-purpose tech, and noticed I’m more focused and healthier for it. iPods are especially great for music without being bothered by notifications…
