Mbotela re-introduces himself to Kenyans who've heard his powerful voice on radio for decades. He traces his roots to Malawi. The book is also about Kenya: he witnessed 1969 #Kisumu massacre by Jomo Kenyatta, and revisits 1982 attempted coup. Memoir of impactful life. RIP Mbotela

It is not surprising given how these 'independent' media coverage of Gaza war went down. I wonder what university departments of critical media studies would say.
So USAID was funding: • Reuters ($300M) • Politico ($8-32M) • BBC ($3.2M) • NY Times ($3.1M) I wonder if Australia’s @abcnews was also getting USAID funding. 🧐

🇰🇪 Kenya: Perhaps, what is affecting schooling the most, is what happens outside the school: Kenya government policies that delays funding, demoralised teachers, and makes schooling too expensive.
"One of the challenges we’ve been addressing at Zizi Afrique Foundation is the issue of too much schooling but very little learning," Samuel Otieno, our Director of Advocacy and Partnerships, on @citizentvkenya , shedding light on critical issues affecting Education in Kenya.
