Client sent me a video this evening of his little lad entering dad's home for the first time in months and being so excited to see his Christmas presents that, up to now, the other side hasn't allowed client to give.
So happy to see his joy! Yet so mad he had to go through this.

I've just received the best CAFCASS report I've ever seen on a case.
Child is resistant to contact w dad for no apparent reason & the first officer wrote it off "child doesn't want to, no order."
This second officer has explored everything and progress seems likely. Thank you!

Was v happy to have a "Face to Face" hearing today, with a judge who was patient and kind with my client, took her time to explain the orders she was making & why she was making them. If properly funded, every hearing could be like that and court wouldn't be so scary for clients.

I see the Parental Alienation debate is live & well on Twitter tonight.
As an action, it happens. I have seen it in many cases. I have seen parents do it out of malice & seen parents that accidentally do it out of their own self-preservation. Medical diagnosis? No, but its real.

What a horrible, nasty thing to say. We're expecting our first child in May & are lucky that we can afford the staples in life as well as some of the comforts. But even we (a lawyer & doctor) are concerned at the cost of living. Does that make those with less £ worse parents? No.

This is why we can’t just say “nobody is allowed to raise that defence any more”. Because it would mean treating as murderers people who didn’t intend to kill or cause serious harm.

An absolute essential judgement here. Needs to be read by all family law practitioners.
I see applications for NMO made frequently in cases where they are not warranted. I also see cases where a NMO is desperately needed. This provides excellent clarity.

I didn't panic buy fuel in reaction to the "fuel shortage", but I am concerned at the gas shortage, so I have left all four of my hob burners on all weekend and now my kitchen is full of gas for me to use when I need it.
