It’s my last weekend working at 7News with my last day coming up this week. I have learned SO much & I’m grateful for the time I’ve spent in New England. I always read the nice comments y’all leave and I can’t thank y’all enough for the support!
I’ll share what’s next soon! ♥️
Boston ➡️ Chicago. Jumping to another city where forecasting can be really challenging. I’m not done with the winter storms or cold!
So excited to announce that I will be joining the talented weather team at
@ABC7Chicago
. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter has in store.
I'm back at work after taking some time off to welcome home my husband from an 8 month deployment. It's still really weird to text/call him after not being able to for so long.
I have to give my husband a shoutout for this thoughtful Valentine’s Day delivery.
He’s been deployed for several months, but planned out every gift/delivery before he left. He even wrote the notes that go with the deliveries ahead of time.
I’ve been MIA for about a week, enjoying my husband’s pre-deployment leave. Big shoutout to the 7Weather team for being so understanding, especially
@jackieozone
for covering my weekend shifts. She’s an angel 😇💕
How cool is this?!? I’m standing in between two tectonic plates, the North American and the Eurasian plates.
Iceland is the only place in the world where the split between the two plates can be seen above sea-level!
It’s been an absolute joy working with this meteorologist the past 4 years and watching her blossom into the supahstah she is!🤩
@JaisolWX
is off to the next chapter in her career & I know she’ll continue to crush it. Happy to see her take the next step but sad she’s leaving 7.
I got to see the actively erupting volcano on Mt. Fagradalsfjall on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland.
It was a difficult, 8 mile hike (round trip), but SO worth it! You realize you’re getting close when the ground starts to feel warm. It’s a once in a lifetime experience 🤯
My husband hates taking pictures, so I tricked him by taking a video lol. This was one of my favorite dates. It’s not often that I get to be in his work area 😊 Also - cheers to 3 years in the military/doing the long distance thing.
Today marks the beginning of
#HispanicHeritageMonth
. I’m proud to be the child of 2 wonderful people who met in Juarez, Mexico, who taught me about the strength found in family bonds, culture, and hard work.
Because of them, I am a proud Latina!
After Iceland, we did a few days in Italy. We explored Venice (but stayed in Lido) and Florence. I like science/nature trips and my husband likes history/architecture. We were able to do both :)
My husband is the sweetest. The note says, “Will you go to the ball with me?” (The Marine Ball)
It made me giggle. I already bought my dress and planned the trip, but he took the time to send me these beautiful flowers 🌸
I know Tom Brady is breaking the internet, but just wanted to drop this into your timeline.
We gain 1 hour & 20 minutes of daylight in the next 4 weeks! Our first 7PM sunset is 10 days away on March 23rd.
@7News
Shoutout to my photographer
@stringerjoe457
who is making me look good this morning! Happy to be reporting from the Esplanade ahead of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular 🎆
I was making this graphic, and realized our first 5PM sunset is only 4 weeks from tomorrow! Made my day. We gain about 50 minutes of daylight in the next 4 weeks.
@7News
Today’s science lesson, “what is weather?” - It will be posted on the
@7News
Facebook page at 10:30 am, and then I’ll be on FB Live at 11 am to answer questions on the lesson.
Yesterday was the start of
#HispanicHeritageMonth
A time to celebrate our culture & appreciate our parents’ sacrifices. I’m a proud daughter of Jaime & Soledad, they risked everything for our family. There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am for them and how they raised us
I love wearing this dress! It’s a traditional Mexican dress that was altered by my grandma to be a little more modern (shorter and with a tie in the back).
Join us for this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month Special on Sunday, September 24th from 11-11:30PM.
@RobElgasABC7
My family in Texas asks how I deal with the cold in New England. It’s not the cold that bothers me, it’s days like today and the long stretches without sun ☀️
I’m making rice with chile con queso tonight. Tune in at 9, 10, & 11 PM to watch my Holiday Helping. If you like the recipe, you can get it by making a small donation to

@7News
Happy to be home for Thanksgiving. I’m feeling really grateful 😊
20 people in my immediate family with spouses and kids! Can you imagine what it’s like for us to go out to a restaurant? It’s chaotic lol.
Good morning!
There are a light, lingering showers this morning with temps in the mid 30s.
There could be a few breaks in the clouds Monday, and then wet weather returns Tuesday.
