Some things you ought to know about following me:
1. This is a sex positive space 🌈🍆💦 means we support body autonomy, sexuality and gender diversity and expression, protection of sexual and reproductive rights, promotion of sexual and reproductive health.
After 21 days of sick leave, I'm to return to work on Friday; my boss is like "nah. Your doctor gotta recommend more days. you're not in a position to work." (I'm still in a cast for the next month or so).
I'm skeptical of this so I called HR and they were like...
"Yeah, you can get more days. We'd just extend your sick leave since you're not fit for work."
I'm like, there must be repercussions.
"Nope. You'll still be paid."
I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I LOVE MY JOB! I LOVE WHERE I WORK! I LOVE MY SOCIALIST GUYANA!
I stopped watching Squid Game: The Challenge episode 8 because of Ashley

Yes I was mad at her for doing that to Trey but I'm PISSED that no one talked up against it TO HER nor did they reject when she stayed back and allowed everyone else to do 50/50 after she didn't. Stww
I genuinely want to know, what does the US + UK give Jamaica for them to time and time again go against the Region?
They don't get more aid than usual, they don't get preferential treatment, certainly not visa waivers - what?
Somebody please provide me the answer by morning.
To think a few weeks ago, this - the world's largest single drop waterfall - was just a trickle. It's good to see Old Kaie back in his glory.

MIGHT I ADD. Nani was a surfboarding champion on her way to finals when her parents died and she had to take crazy Lilo who grieved through aggression?
Nani dropped EVERYTHING to provide for Lilo, then Plickley, et al. When the government was on her back. White privilege yes 🙄
Anyways, I’ll need this 7 course menu because I cannot pick ONE of anything from any ONE island that was the best ever.
The CARICOM Secretariat should have me for a dinner 🤭
Georgetown, Guyana 🇬🇾 is:
The second largest city (in area) in the Caribbean, second to Kingston Jamaica.
Like Kingston, it was named after a British King, George II.
It was one of the few "planned" cities in the region, designed in cardinal grids of canals and gardens.
Since this man went in power he has done EVERYTHING the US and UK asked him to. Jamaica rightfully puffs out it's chest to the world that they can stand proud, but Holness has time and time again made his country a puppet to the global North. And CARICOM resents him for it.
@kaminajsmith
Madam Senator, this is not a valid excuse. If Jamaica via consent of CARICOM expressed this statement BEFORE the resolution was put to a vote, what more consultations did the Mission need to make with Kingston. The REGION'S position is clear
- is Jamaica with us or against us?
Drove by the CARICOM Secretariat today. Reminding people who keep saying Guyana is not part of the CARIBBEAN Community to kindly come and collect their Secretariat so we can take our FASTING GROWING ECONOMY to invest in the much larger and diverse South American economy.
For 71 years of Guyana's legislative history, 2/3* of it, the seats were filled by just men - but we're doing something revolutionary, we're introducing something great to the history of Guyana- we're introducing the -
I've always liked that in Guyana you get double pay in December, then paid early in January because they figured you spent out your money, then another early pay in February because you got paid early in January and also for Mash festival.
Is the early pay thing regional?
Today I submitted my letters of appointment to the Manager of the Gender Affairs Bureau, Adel Lilly, officially beginning my tenure in the public service.
I will be serving Guyana as a Senior Gender Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
Aht aht! Not here! Not in the Caribbean. Keep that islamophobia and divisive 💩 off our islands and land. We don't do that here, and most of all, we support a free Palestinian state - from the River to the Sea.
1. This was just Guyana making it to the finals. Can you imagine when we win on Sunday?
2. An entire stadium, in one breath, singing a song - must have been a goosebumps moment to experience live.
3. Cricket is really a unifying sport.
4. Guyana deserves this tbh.

1. What you mean somethings don't change? Guyana changed their hair rules this term and BVI changed theirs last term. Other Caribbean islands are following suit.
2. Why everything is about colonialism and racism? Where do you think the hair rules against black hair comes from?

: Jamaica disclosed today it will discontinue visa-free transit privileges for Cubans effective March 13th; this means that if Cubans wish to transit through Jamaica, they will need a visa to do so
All other visa requirements for Cubans entering Jamaica remain unchanged
The sad thing is, we - the Caribbean people - have been saying this for DECADES. It has only gotten worse over time. But better believe it our governments will sit and talk about it, twice a year, every year.
@thedonndaadaa
Ma'am. she let Trey jumped twice ahead of her (3 times in total) when he was only supposed to jump ONCE as per the group agreement.
The deal was, everyone took a 50/50 chance by jumping ONCE. She then encouraged people to overtake her when she herself refused to overtake.
Esso esso so so so 👏 my mother your mother live across the street, 18 / 19 strawberry Street. Every night they had a fight and this is what they said all night!
I've been "out" all my adult life, in a country with social and systemic discrimination that has shoved people in the closet, so naturally when dating, though I have a preference for guys like myself, I hardly find them. So in that rarity, I had to navigate with people who...

4th and final. You are conformed to the oppressive system, your excuses are invalidated since many diverse hairstyles are accepted in spaces in the very countries that implemented those rules against us. Because why? Black people unlike you called it out and advocated 4 change.
Reasons Guyana is not a Caribbean state: 1. "It's on the South American continent".
Reasons Guyana is a Caribbean nation: 27,263,729,203,171,929,372.
Idiots: "Guyana is not a Caribbean country."
I wish someone would write a book, "The History of Guyanese engineering" because we have and we are building some incredible infrastructure unique to our little Caribbean slice of the pie. For Christ sake we are literally building an island at the mouth of the Demerara River!

3. Not because rules exist means they're fair and just and cannot be challenged and changed to be just and fair. Guyana's hair rule changed when back students started posting about it on social media.
Slavery and segregation were rules and laws. That changed with protests.

Two months ago I sat on a panel with former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Helen Clark, and other youth and feminist leaders to discuss how intergenerational partnerships shift power and create sustainable solutions.
ICJ basically told Venezuela to sit down and be quiet, and respect that for now Guyana maintains control over the area, until or otherwise the Court makes a judgement; and both countries do nothing to aggravate the issue that will make a decision difficult to come by.

I'd be so obnoxious.
So all month I've been wearing a Pride Pin on my shirts, as a public servant I think this little bit of viability helps. Anytime I have to do a session on sexuality I also wear it; last month in Berbice the hotel receptionist saw it and her eyes lit up, almost at years she got...
