@jemelehill
Malika honestly has brought a lot of this on herself with how she has covered Black men in sports. When you don't give grace, you can't expect to receive it. Oh well.
@ItsLaDarrion
I love Alicia but Black folks have said she isn't a great vocalist since her debut. Alicia probably would even admit herself that her vocals aren't her greatest attribute. R&B singers can still be great without having great voices though i.e. TLC, Alicia, Janet, Mary, etc.
@moonlight_zexal
While what is being said is legitimate, pretty much all clothes and appliances that we own come at the cost of slave labor in foreign nations. Focusing on those who wear the products isn't nearly as important as going directly at the corporations themselves.
One thing I can already tell about Jalen Green is that he's a quick learner, willing to work, and is coachable. John Lucas has been putting in work with his shooting mechanics and it's paying off.

Sengun ripped him about 3 times, got him in foul trouble, and dropped 45 on he and the rest of that front line. Not to mention his rebounds, blocks, and assists. He absolutely cooked him. It happens.
@Vator_H_Town
I get the feeling Udoka is pushing for the FVV to workout with the guards and Brooks the forwards. I love to see it. Build that chemistry
@BiasedHouston
I don't know. Naturally those numbers will decline more this season. Plus he still only wants to play his way and we all know what he does on the big stage. His time has passed.
@RooshWilliams
I love our identity. Haven't loved a
#Rockets
team this much since the one with Artest, Yao, Tmac, Deke, Scola, Landry, Hayes, Battier, Brooks, Lowry, Wafer, Rafer,Adelman. Loved that team cause they were hard nosed like the 90s team. This one has big heart too.

@MsFayeBishop
I was about to comment on the restaurant piece. I so much rather prefer to eat at a local eatery than a chain for dinner. Plus you have online discourse with younger generations looking at Cheesecake factory as being beneath them. Lol
And this is why the
#Rockets
were wise to pass on Harden. Some fans were really willing to risk "maybe" a few more wins for Harden's weaknesses to rub off on our young core. Props to Udoka and Stone for not bringing him back.
@Kyla_Lacey
I find that most people are not interested in tearing down systems, but instead are concerned about how they can benefit as individuals within them. This is why I'm weary at times when we say that we want equality. "Equal to who and to get what?" is my next question.
@JeremyIKaufman
Absolutely. Man it kinda hurts seeing Correa and Springer in other unis, but I understand business is business, but those two should retire Astros. I want to say Verlander as well.
@drboycewatkins1
HBCUs have never been Black Owned. We gotta stop telling this lie, lol. HBCUs serve a purpose, but I hate when people act like they are UNIA churning out Black revolutionaries. They are colleges that give you a degree to make money in white corporate America. Same as PWIs.
@JoKr_YTs
@BradeauxNBA
Yeah highlights that show what happened in game. Those 7 blocks were empty calories. Sengun, Cam, Green, and even Landale were bodying him all night at the rim. He's a great rim protector but his lack of strength due to his frame will always allow players to take it to his chest.
@evenmoredan
@hausofriya
As someone with Bahamian roots, I absolutely agree and can't stand when I see Bahamians and others in the Diaspora do it. Absolutely disgusting.
@WhitlockJason
Texas struggled with Wyoming. Bama struggled with USF. Tennessee upset by Florida. FSU struggled with BC. Georgia didn't dominate SC. No clear top dawg this year. They took care of business. Now a tough Oregon team on the road.
@talleyberrybaby
Love Doja as an MC but she definitely has identity issues that she needs to address personally. I don't know if her father being separated from her has impacted her like this or what, but yeah. I think she's getting that wake up call.
@RooshWilliams
Rockets fans expected too much this season. 14th to 12th is actually good when you look at win totals. Okc is just making the post season this year since building around SGA after moving on from CP3. How long did it take the Kings to make that jump that they made last season?
@BradeauxNBA
I like what they are doing with him. He's playing within the offense this season. People want him to be 25 ppg plus this season but I actually think 22-24 ppg with taking smart shots is a better formula for winning basketball.
@Ayyyye_J
Last time I was in Dallas I noticed this too. There were bars and restaurants that I wanted to hit up that were only open during certain nights of the week. I don't know if post pandemic has impacted their hours of operation or not.
@drf_00
Absolutely not. Your backcourt becomes smaller, window become shorter, you lose three pieces, and I honestly feel like Jalen Green will be better than Mitchell in due time. Adding Mitchell and losing those pieces doesn't make Rockets that much better if even better at all.
@BradeauxNBA
@2Cool2Blog
That's chump change to Giannis and Gilbert acting as if Hakeem's post skills are irrelevant when Kobe, Bron, Yao, and now Giannis have gone to him to learn.

As a great scorer himself, he does understand when he sees another great perimeter scorer. I never thought he was ridiculous for saying that because the ingredients were always there.
@xcusethefro
@okayplayer
Saul has been in the game for decades and has done well for himself. He didn't personally attack Jay, instead he gave him a break down if history and how capitalism works
@FredTJoseph
@russwest44
Man I really don't get why folks get upset about this. From ancient African and Indigenous garments, The Isleys, Earth Wind & Fire, Prince, Lenny Kravitz, 2 Pac, Andre 3000, Ginuwine, Busta Rhymes, Jidenna, etc. Black men have always been androgynous in our wear.
Anthony Edwards is clearly better than Jalen Green right now, but what I will say that Jalen does better than Ant Man is facilitate, play off the pick and roll, and move without the basketball. Jalen just has to be consistent. Sky is the limit once he figures it out.
#Rockets
@katelakyra
I didn't know he represented all Black men. The allegations are horrible but please save the overdramatic response. What about all the brothers acting who aren't doing this? Root for them instead
Malidoma Patrice Some' is someone who I always wanted to meet. "Of Water and Spirit" helped me find my purpose in life and was a guiding light during difficult times. We lost a giant with tons of wisdom. Rest well ancestor.
@RedNinetyFour
He will absolutely be a 25-28 ppg scorer in his prime with 10 plus boards and 8 plus assists. He's only 21, his shooting is getting better, passing getting better, defense getting better, post game getting better, fade away getting better, and he has sneaky athleticism.
@stanfordkp
We are at our best when he's our leading scorer. That has been noticeable for going on three years now. Sengun is the engine and our best player, but Jalen Green is our most important, because when he scores the Rockets damn near are unguardable.
@KWCosby
Lmao bruh hoping someone fails at their job that provides for their family is personal. I hope the Black community in Louisville wakes up to the game you've been running on them for years.
@marcelluswiley
echoed my exact thoughts on HBCUs a couple years back. Coacj Prime is just a microcosm. HBCUs just like PWIs are full of staff members who are there to get paid and will leave given the right opportunity. "For the culture" is just a sales pitch.
@RooshWilliams
And I feel like we were just bad for long enough. Not getting Banchero was a blessing in disguise because while he's better than Jabari individually... Bari is a better fit and we were bad enough to get Amen and Cam. Tanking sucks but is worth it. Astros used the same strategy.
@Markkern111
@WorldWideWob
I love D Wade and think he's the third best SG of all time who could've been second if not for injuries...D Wade is underrated, however I think Edwards is going to surpass him in due time on basic skills, athleticism, and size alone.
@tmilrealdeal
Good God Dusty stand behind your guy. That's exactly what the Astros needed. They've been sleep walking most of the month. I love Neris for doing that.

Knowing someone and endorsing that you do business with them are two different things. I'm not sure if Mike knew what he was up to or not, but when you're a celebrity and you are marketing someone who is trying to reach our people, you have to do your homework.
@Kyla_Lacey
White people love it, but it gets plenty of play in Black spaces and I've always liked it. It will be performed on Sunday without question.
@drboycewatkins1
To each their own. I've dated women with children before, but I just wouldn't anymore. There are a lot of things to consider: the cost, potential friction from the child/father of the baby, if you break up the impact it will have on the child, cuts in to your alone time, etc.
@ItsLaDarrion
Whitney possibly greatest vocalist ever BUT musically give me Alicia, Janet, TLC, Mary, and a long list of others over her. There are a lot of things that go into making great music beyond your voice (song writing, creativity, ear for production, live performance, etc)
@htowncritic
Because the media is biased. Pop has never done anything without Duncan. I'm not saying he can't coach, but it's proof that having talent is what matters the most and you can get talent by tanking, which is what every team does when rebuilding. It's a no brainer decision to tank.
I watched film on him months prior but I really think Matas Buzelis has the highest ceiling in this draft and at the moment, I am leaning towards the Rockets taking him at number 3. He's tall, long, can shoot, handles, and athleticism.

@ProfessorCrunk
You only hurt your argument by pushing out predictable and false arguments of us doing it because we are sexist and don't trust Black women. Try a new tactic please...like actually listening to Black men.
