[ARTICLE] The Impact of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call— Netflix Gains 720,000 Users Netflix's original medical drama #TheTraumaCodeHeroesonCall has gained traction through word-of-mouth, leading to a surge of 720,000 in Netflix’s monthly active users (MAU) last month. The show’s ratings are also increasing sharply, reaching levels comparable to Squid Game Season 2. According to market research firm Mobile Index, Netflix had an increase of 720,000 MAUs over the past month, ranking fourth among the fastest-growing mobile apps in January. Additionally, Netflix recorded approximately 700,000 new installations last month, making it the top-ranked entertainment app in terms of new downloads. Another market research firm, Consumer Insight, reported that The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’s viewing experience rate more than doubled within a week of its launch, indicating that word-of-mouth played a significant role in its success. In Consumer Insight’s “Early Viewer Ratings for K-Original OTT Content” survey, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call scored 80 out of 100 in viewer satisfaction during its first week and 82 in the second week, setting a record-high rating. Previously, the highest-rated show got 76 and 81 points, but The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call surpassed it for two consecutive weeks. In percentage terms, 9 out of 10 viewers expressed satisfaction over two weeks. The show's viewing (experience) rate has also skyrocketed. A month before its release, its recognition rate was 15%, and the viewing intent rate was 10%. However, during its launch week, recognition soared to 67%, and the viewing rate reached 22%. A week after its release, these numbers surged to 88% and 52%, respectively. Consumer Insight also analyzed the main reasons viewers watched The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call: an engaging storyline (44%), the cast (43%), and a preferred theme (40%). The primary awareness channels were TV commercials and trailers (31%), YouTube ads and trailers (30%), and OTT app recommendations (29%). The outlook for The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call remains positive. Among non-viewers, 74% stated that they plan to watch the show.
