I am a former engineer at Twitter and I can say for sure that Elon Musk does not know how to use a for loop. He just copies and pastes the code for every iteration. I tried to explain for loops to him during code review and he called it "bloatware".

Linear algebra is cool as fuck in my opinion because the concept is like: "what if you glombed numbers together into supernumbers?" then it turns out that masses of numbers are way more useful than they are on their lonesome.

Sounds like he likes to unroll loops. Pretty solid engineering method. A jump is expensive v. not performing one, if you know the number of loops the code will perform, or can at least integer-divide the num of iterations. He builds critical systems, remember. Ticks count.
