Though I agree in principle. The problem is they are tone deaf. The optics as ever are appalling. Whether good or bad deadline day is about football. I can’t think what the intention was in choosing this day to announce. It fails whatever the intention. For someone who is supposed to be such a good businessman he doesn’t half seem to make a lot of mistakes. Is there no one at the club to say ‘wait’ there might be a better time to announce. I completely agree. And I know it doesn’t happen over night. It happened because people made it happen. I always respected Abramovitch. Other fans were jealous because he invested. That is simply the game. You have to invest. Same as WSL. In coaches in players, infrastructure, backroom staff. My club will never do that. We agree on that. Hopefully the rest of the WSL will and it can become a properly competitive league.

Congrats @wayneburnett1 and thank you from a season ticket holder, occasional visitor to Hotspur way to watch U18’s/21’s. This is why I love the game, our club, and why my hope will never die. This is, what we have been asking for, because we know the work you guys have done and the potential. Here’s to the future, and some good times ahead.

I’m not suggesting Chelsea put the brakes on, I’m suggesting that there needs to be some strictures put in place that keep the league competitive. No one will tune in and watch a league which the same team wins every year. It’s tedious. There needs to be competition. And just when women’s football was gaining traction, Chelsea are killing the WSL.

@HLTCO Brilliant. Intelligent, articulate, emotianolly engaged. It is impossible to know where we’d be without the injuries, but i think it’s fair to say, despite performances being disappointing, the players are still engaged and giving their all.
