This story has now been updated with the Premier League's stance on Morsy. They have told @MirrorFootball he will face no punishment as wearing Rainbow armbands is not compulsory.
EXCL: The FA have left the door open to punishing Sam Morsy over his refusal to wear a Rainbow armband. They declined to comment on the incident to @MirrorFootball but did NOT outright deny that Morsy could face some form of punishment. Full details:
