EXCL: Josh Cavallo has been vocal on LGBT+ rights ever since coming out. But football's chiefs are ignoring him. Here's my interview with the Australian, covering Saudi, death threats and his trailblazing life. Hard to believe he's only 24. Read the story:

Unfortunately I can't make it this year to defend my title, but please do get your nominations in for a variety of awards, which really do recognise the incredible work being done for LGBT+ inclusion in football, across all levels.

This week's headlines have proven that we have so much further to go when it comes to LGBT+ inclusion. But as a community, we need to move with the times and firm up our message to drive homophobia out of the game, making it a sport we can all be involved in.

Honestly think the Guehi situation has been blown out of all proportion. He wore the armband, yeah he wrote on it but it wasn’t a homophobic message. Morsy meanwhile outright refused, that’s where the focus should be.
