@reflecmec @davidroodman Here's a toy example of an implementation using esttab. Basic idea is to store boottest output in estimation e() matrices and tell esttab to save these. Hope this helps! Code file on Dropbox here:

@BarbaraBiasi The trick is to estadd it in a matrix with the proper column names! See example code and output below. Dropbox link to code file here:

My favorite quote of #HISPBC , from a truly great man: "I realized it didn't matter what I taught, it mattered what they learned" - Secretary George P. Shultz

Great experience as a TA for @HooverInst 's #HISPBC . While lectures were excellent and thought-provoking, students were the best part. Differing in political views, they shared a genuine interest and ability to engage in thoughtful, fact-based discussion of policy and research.

@cjwich @Stata I think you're looking for the stats layout() suboption: stats(..., ... layout("@" "(@)")) adds parentheses around the second stat

@cjwich @Stata So the option in your particular example would look like: stats(elas elas_SE, labels("Elasticity" "Std. Err.") layout("@" "(@)"))

@reflecmec @davidroodman Resulting tex table looks like this, easily customizable with esttab. P-value and confidence intervals appear below each coefficient. With this approach you can still take advantage of other esttab features, and don't need to create the estimation matrix yourself.

@BarbaraBiasi @salva_lat I didn't realize you were doing this to add "boottest" estimates. Here is a previous example which does exactly that, even adding confidence intervals!

@lukestein @owasow @milmilon Thanks @owasow ! Your "Race as a Bundle of Sticks" paper was incredibly helpful to us in writing our paper, and really helped to sharpen how we think about and interpret gaps by census enumerator classification. Thanks for your awesome work!

@vb_jens @mdsumner @pqblair Works for counties, but I actually wanted to find neighboring census blocks. There are >11million blocks in the US, so checking every pairwise combination would be huge. I first find neighboring states, then check for neighboring counties only within neighbor/own state, ...

@jben0 @BarbaraBiasi Yes, the ":" syntax for locals is very useful! See "help extended_fcn" for documentation. A few of my favorite applications: - List files matching a pattern in a directory - List union/intersection/difference - Matrix values - Word count - Variable labels
