We like to post something like this at least once a year. This is townball. Pitch 7.2 shutout innings, striking out 10 to force a deciding Game 3 in your playoff series and then have your son on your lap as you drag the infield while some other kids play catch in the outfield.
Trey Jacobson earned his first Fanta Player o’ the Game in tonight’s win at Blue Earth. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Trey was on base all four at bats with two hits including an RBI double and two walks.
Probably not much fun had by these guys tonight as Blaise, Boggy, Wolfie and Hady played at the Twins' Spring Training home, Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers tonight. They're playing in the Roy Hobbs World Series.
Evan Olesen was the Mickey’s Player O’ the Game in the season-opening win over Fox Lake. Kevin Holm makes the presentation. Evan had four hits, each one a double down the third-base line. He scored three times and had an RBI.

One of our draftees, Tyler Tennyson, was the Fanta POG in the state tournament win. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Tenny pitched 5.1 innings of shutout relief, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out four.
With approximately 267 days to spare before the 2020 opener, the Wacker Field scoreboard got a facelift.

Shad Wacker is tonight’s Mickey’s Player O’ the Game. Kevin Holm makes the presentation. Shad was 4-for-5 at the plate and stole 4 bases in the win over Blue Earth.

The first Mickey’s POG of the year goes to Ryan Rasche. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Ryan pitched four shutout innings, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out six. At the plate he had two hits, walked once and had two RBI.
Shad Wacker was the Mickey’s POG in today’s win at Tracy. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Shad had two hits including a three-run homer, walked three times and scored four times in the 18-6 win.
1967 Jackson High School graduate Joe Anderson presented Scott with a very nice donation, 2 dozen Major League balls. Joe played second base and quarterback for the Blue Jays. He went on to Dakota Wesleyan to play. He currently works security for the Texas Rangers. Thank you Joe!
Andy Wolf is 9 hits away from Kip Wachal's club record of 679 career hits.
Wolfie scored 3 times at Lakefield the other night, bringing his career total to 592. He already has the record, but is closing in on 600 runs scored.
FUN FACT: The Bulls' battery at the end of the game tonight was a combined 90 years old, with 49-year-old Tom Hady pitching to 41-year-old Blaise Jacobsen.
Our draftee, Brandan Alfson of Pipestone, made off with the Mickey's POG for the Game 3 win at Fairmont. Kevin Holm makes the presentation. Brandan went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits, walking 2 and striking out 9.
Definitely the shortest Mickey's POG deliberation ever. Mr. Wierson had four hits including two home runs for five RBI and made a great sliding catch in right field in today's big win at Hadley. Rob Hunt makes the presentation.
At 9:46 p.m., a meeting of the POG committee convened.
The suggestion was made: "Hey, how about the guy with six hits?"
After discussion, the motion passed unanimously.

JCC grad Easton Bahr is a senior with the Buena Vista baseball team. In 2 starts for the Beavers, he's hitting .286 (2-7) with both hits being doubles, 1 BB, 1 HP, 3 runs and 3 RBI. His OBA % is .444.
There were several possibilities for the Mickey's POG in last night's win, but the nod goes to fan favorite Kevin Holm. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Kevin took the mound with 1 out and 1 on in 3rd inning of a 3-3 game. He retired all 5 batters he faced, striking out 2.
Nate Monson earned his first Mickey's POG award in the win today. He's won Fanta POG honors in the past. Rob Hunt makes the presentation. Nate had two hits including a double, scored two runs and made some nice plays in right field including doubling up a guy off second.

It's usually a semi-enjoyable experience to see another former Bulls great and Jim Thome lookalike, Pat (Ballpark) Frank and that was the case again Saturday.
