@Hariclea @sim3744 I've never been a Ferrari fan, although I mellowed lately with LEC/SAI duo (also since RBR became the pantomime villains instead of 2000s-spec Ferrari). But - regardless of how it turns out - it's so good that they genuinely love Lewis and want to celebrate him joining the team

@there_is_no_if I've done the 'stay awake' strategy but because the race isn't usually great, I was snoozing through most of it anyway. I've got to work that Saturday anyhow so it'll be a 9.30 bedtime on Friday then 3.30 alarm for quali! Same for the race

@unitedwayne @sim3744 Tbf I do normally get up for the early races: I can cope with 5 a.m. but the thought of the alarm going off on both days at 3.30 is.... meh. I have to work that Saturday, too.... I won't be getting up to watch the China sprint at 3 a.m. though!

@Blonde_Nutter Hilarious! We unfortunately left our pyrolytic cleaning oven behind when we moved, so John's just had to do the old oven shimmy with our week old pizza remains...

@Hariclea @fortifoursi @009sagejay @f1elvis Yeah, I used to work at BA doing cabin crew admin. The junior levels' pay was poor but they made money on expenses paid when they were away from base. But it's not conducive to relationships or family life. At least they could switch to shorthaul but then they got even less pay!

@Hariclea @fortifoursi @009sagejay I'm reading @f1elvis's book atm & although times are very different now, and there is at least curfews on race weekends, the workload is just crazy. I would've loved a job in F1, tbf, even for a pittance, but I wouldn't think it encourages people to stay long term
