This is spot on. Talking to those trapped in the cladding scandal, it’s hard not to conclude they are victims of an appalling injustice, while care homes are full of residents slipping away out of their loved ones’ reach. Both feel authorities are impervious to their concerns.
Two ongoing stories that are increasingly hard to listen to: people trapped in unsafe homes with flammable cladding, and people who cannot see their relatives in care homes. Both groups sound frantic and as though no one in power can hear them.
