So the repeal of the Human Rights Act - making Britain a peer of post military coup Greece and post Ukraine invasion Russia in being the only countries to leave the EHRC - is back on.

This truly is going be very a government of the very worst people the UK has to offer. The sooner they cab all be voted out of office and never heard from again, the better.

If she truly wanted to accept responsibility for her mistakes, and genuinely believed it was right for her to go, why on Earth would she be taking back the very same job six days later? You clearly can’t trust a word she says.

I was very proud to work with Leigh Sagar on the second edition of this book, which sets out the things a private client lawyer needs to know about all kind of digital assets, from electronic records to cloud accounts to cryptoassets.

The British Constitution permits only rare and brief moments of celebration: that happy period in between the resignation of a monstrous Prime Minister, and the appointment of someone even worse. Make the most of it while it lasts!

Good thread on proposed changes to Human Rights Act. Looks like it’s going to be an attempt to gut any meaningful human rights protection, pushed through with the kind of vacuous nationalist bluster and outright falsehood we’ve come to expect from this government.

In all seriousness, is there any good reason why the employee element of National Insurance contributions shouldn’t be abolished and added on to the rates of Income Tax instead? By covering unearned income too, would both raise more money and be fairer to everyone #tax

This is brilliant. It's exactly how the climate crisis will be played by this government:
