This is a stunning example of one government stopping aid to another for all the right reasons. The Afrikaners have a right to self-determination, and we fully support that. While we agree it is better to help them in their current location, we also believe in a right of return for those with ancestral tiesโespecially for those who have lived abroad for generations and face persecution. Everyone deserves a homeland, and itโs high time the world recognise this form of persecution. The Homeland Party stands firmly against using taxpayer money for foreign aid, particularly when it goes against the interests of our own people or causes other harm. For example, our government funds farming in Africa while imposing extra taxes on farmers at home.
