Good analysis from @PayersPlayers on the breakdown of Americans in men's tennis. We know college tennis is the most international sport, but it was still surprising to see only 103 American men start at a top 52 program right now. I worry how ADs/Politicians will view that.
College Tennis (Mens) x The Numbers Foreign vs American - top 52 Programs Total # of Players = 562 (10.8 per team) Total Foreign = 323 (58%) 69 Countries represented Total American = 239 (42%) Total # of Starters (top 6 by UTR) = 312 (6 per team) Total Foreign = 209 (67%) Total American = 103 (33%) 103 American Starters = 25.75 per class. With roster limits coming next years, approx. 60 roster spots will be eliminated among this group of schools, which will disproportionately impact American players.

Notable: - UGA stays a #1 seed despite losing at home to UNC - Auburn seeded below Stanford despite beating #3 OK State 4-0, and a far better resume than the Cardinal - OK State drops below UCLA and Michigan after their Auburn loss - Not much love for LSU from the committee

@KebTennis Yea, I think it’s fine to have Texas over UVA at this point too! We need more data on UVA to see how repeatable Sunday was, but the promise is there.

@KebTennis 1. TCU (benefit of the doubt) 2. Wake Forest (best resume) 3. UVA (beat Texas) 4. Texas (hard to punish them too much for losing 4-3 and having dual match points) 5. OSU (UVA down two guys, and based on eye test) TBH any order feels wrong!
