Don’t think they’re done yet. This team has gotten better, personnel-wise.
Cam Newton deserves better. I hope he comes back next year on another 1-year deal to be CAR’s bridge QB. He’s playing under a coach that doesn’t exactly favor him and rather would play the lesser talented QB he trade draft capital for. It’s a shame tbh.
David Tepper really can’t be looking at the mess he has in front of him and think Matt Rhule deserves another season as the HC of the Carolina Panthers, right?
The

fanbase just feels like it's gotten or is super toxic. Maybe it's the losing, maybe it's just how it's always been...but it's super hard to interact with fans right now if at all.
It’s getting exhausting trying to defend Cam Newton on almost a weekly basis. I feel like he’s arguably the most disrespected players in the NFL. When he’s on his A game, he seems unstoppable.
Happy Birthday to one of the most underrated linebackers in this league’s history
@ThomasDavisSDTM
! This guy tore his ACL 3 times in the same knee. No one thought he’d still be playing. He’s now a 3-time Pro Bowler on one of the best defenses in football. He never gave up!
I took a deeper look into Nebraska RB Devine Ozigbo today. He’s got to be talked about more. Great balance and good vision. Underrated receiving ability. His burst is exceptional and his change of direction is beautiful. I currently have a high-3rd round value grade for Ozigbo.
Cam Newton is trending. Let me remind y’all of something:
1) he can be/still is a GOOD QB
2) got hit w/ COVID, affected his play in someway
3) played w/ worst group of skill players of his career
4) ZERO margin for error in that offense
5) a lot of players opted out on NE
Scott Fitterer this offseason:
- traded up for the No. 1 overall pick (gave up DJ Moore in the process, though)
- signed DT Shy Tuttle
- signed S Vonn Bell
- re-signed C Bradley Bozeman
- signed QB Andy Dalton
- signed TE Hayden Hurst
- signed RB Miles Sanders
I really hope Christian Miller get a lot of playing time this season. He’s very talented. Speed rusher with good active hands and bend. The Panthers might’ve gotten a steal in the 4th round.
Apologies for being so emotionally attached to Cam Newton.
This is my guy. My favorite athlete and sports figure. I’m inspired by him. He’s a helluva player and always has been.
I know I don’t have to defend him. But I always feel the need.
This is the man who got me into football all of those years ago. He may have played his last down for the Panthers…maybe ever.
Cam Newton, thank you for the memories, especially this szn.
You’ll always be my guy, my idol.

, Cam.
Mac Jones’s tape is:
1) not better than Justin Fields
2) not better than Zach Wilson
3) not better than Trey Lance
4) certainly not better than Trevor Lawrence
If Detroit and Carolina win this weekend, the NFL should flex the game to Saturday or Sunday Night the following week imo.
Idk if anyone wants to watch LV-PIT or AZ-TB on primetime.
Robbie Anderson, to me, looks like a frustrated football player who’s HC was just fired. That HC was the one that gave him an opportunity to succeed in Carolina and in the NFL. I don’t think he’s a punk, thug, or any of those names. Anderson is frustrated by BAD FOOTBALL.
We just gonna forget all about rushing touchdowns?
And why are we bringing up QB wins like they even matter. They don’t (to a specific point).
He was placed in a terrible situation in terms of coaching and line play. Context matters.
The untouchables, imo:
DJ Moore
Brian Burns
Derrick Brown
Jaycee Horn
Ikem Ekwonu
Taylor Moton
Frankie Luvu (yep)
Jeremy Chinn
These are your core, foundational pieces. This is not a bad roster. Retooling sounds like the right move to create more $$ and draft capital.
I wanted to be a fan for a bit today. Getting this picture was really cool. Loved watching Baker Mayfield play since college. I’m hoping for a rebound from

, truthfully. Realistically, we’ll see what happens. Definitely going to remember this for a while!

At this point, I highly doubt the Panthers are keeping Rhule the entire season.
I few names I’d like to see Tepper/Fitterer look at:
Brian Flores
Ken Dorsey
Sean Payton
In house: Steve Wilks
Instant reaction to the

1st W:
- Bryce Young played his best game
- Icky...needs work
- Defense played their best game
- Thomas Brown called a solid game in play-calling debut
- Austin Corbett - good player
- Frankie Luvu is him
- Good day for Mingo
The Panthers offense has been able to score more offensively with Cam Newton at QB since joining the team in Week 10 vs. Arizona.
So, yeah he’s been quite impactful. Has he had bad games? Sure. But he should be playing the entire game. Not be a part of a 2 QB system.
I knew Cam Newton was a leader, but boy did All or Nothing shed a whole new light. Cam is one of those guys you want to play for on Sundays. He’s a the QB you want to have with the game on the line. His football IQ is great.
Everyone really needs to watch this show.
All Ian Rapport is doing at this point is giving his opinion to the Cam Newton situation.
A healthy Newton, no matter what, is not getting cut OR traded,
#1
, healthy, will be the starter next year. Why is that so hard for people to understand?
The Panthers drafted Brian Burns with the 16th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
For some odd reason, Burns, who is probs the best pass rusher on the roster right now, played SEVEN snaps this weekend.
Fully healthy btw.
This coaching staff is a complete fraud.
Cam Newton led a WR corps feat. Ted Ginn/Philly Brown/Devin Funchess/Jerricho Cotchery to the Super Bowl and a 15-1 record. Led another corp of Bersin/Clay/Shepherd/Frazier/Funchess to a WC gm + almost won.
And y’all telling me he can’t take THIS Patriots team to the playoffs?
I will defend Cam Newton forever. Just letting y’all know. He IS the FRANCHISE and he is the best thing to happen to the Carolina Panthers. He hold numerous NFL records and has accomplished so much. Appreciate the greatness that he is.
Jacob Eason’s two TD passes have been insane. A couple of the best throws made by a 2020 QB prospect this year.
He’s been doing this all year so far. Can’t wait to see how he does against Oregon and Washington State.
This might be a take for some, but I think Anthony Richardson is simply inexperienced, not raw.
Great pocket awareness and mental processing skills. Learning to be more consistent with mechanics/accuracy.
I don’t see a 2-year project with him whatsoever.
Making checks at the line, audibles, protection calls, etc.
I don’t remember a rookie QB doing this at this stage of his career. Bryce Young has been impressive.
#Panthers
I still don’t understand why ppl don’t like Scott Fitterer. He signed Reddick, Luvu, and Fox. Traded for C.J. Henderson and Stephon Gilmore. Was a big reason why Newton is back on the team in the first place. Draft class was really solid. Give him time. I like this FO.
I’m not sure what Adam Thielen’s future is going to be in Carolina after this season, but he’s been an A+ teammate for this team. Love the effort and blocking here from 19. Great stuff!
I see the NFL just doesn’t care about the top rookie OL. Like, those guys are pretty badass too, not just the defensive guys or skill position players that get all the production.
Baker wasn't perfect on Sunday, but he's easily the best and most competent QB the Carolina Panthers have had since Cam Newton (1st half of '18).
Antsy at times, but he led Carolina to a near-comeback win. That's an adequate QB who can become more.
Expect Cam Newton to be the starter in New England for the foreseeable future. If he continues to struggle, Jones will play at some point. But it’s hard for me to see Newton not bounce back from the mess he dealt with last year with that roster.

Watch people call Cam a child for this 🤦♂️. KB obviously being very dismissive of Cam while Cam was just trying to bury the hatchet. KB is soft af
This Cam Newton, Week 1 vs. the Rams.
With a Lisfranc foot injury (unknown at the time).
Steps up in the pocket and RIPS one to the far hash.
Again, he was hurt and still ripped it.

I am so proud of this team. 1-4, fired HC, traded CMC, lost DJax to injury, tough QB situation, released Mayfield…all of that.
They came up short of a playoff berth. They’ll likely still end up with a Top 10-12 pick.
And this team FIGHTS. I have hope moving forward.
I thought Cam Newton had a good first game back. He was accurate and was smart with the football. Didn’t see any bad decisions. 3 total TDs in his return as the Panthers starting QB.
He was not the issue today. Not even close. He was one of the massive positives.
The
#Panthers
so far this offseason:
- built one of the best staffs in football
- traded up to No. 1 overall
- brought back Bradley Bozeman
- signed Miles Sanders, Hayden Hurst, DJ Chark, Adam Thielen, Vonn Bell, Shy Tuttle, and more depth
Great offseason so far!
DJ Moore was not the reason they lost today. So far from it. He played one of his best games, ever.
Carolina’s defense blunders and continuous offensive issues are among the biggest problems today.
Panthers coach Frank Reich said he put Bryce Young in a bad spot asking him to throw into the end zone at the end of a 2-minute drill. The result was a pick.
This is a beautiful adjustment and catch by Terrace Marshall Jr.
Good release at the LOS to create separation. I love the body control and grip strength at the catch point.

Cam Newton is that one player that you wish could’ve been more successful than he already has. He could still be having a nice career in Carolina. Failures of that franchise’s FO to give him legitimate OL and skill positions to succeed early in his career have been costly to him.
