@DevineGospel I do. I know it’s in there but the question is whether he’s physically able and I haven’t seen much evidence of that during his tenure. He’s never going to generate the kind of power that he did in Boston but he should be a very productive part of the lineup if he’s healthy.

@PadresFanTakes I agree with your basic premise but you and I may be higher on Peralta than management and Heyward is much better in the field. At these dollars we may yet see him back. Team still needs a DH. I still like the HeyJoe platoon.

@PadresFanTakes @warrencomer78 The answer is yes. The Padres were literally going to waive him and then he hit his first HR. Then he started playing consistently well in his various roles for the rest of the season. I don’t think they believed he would do what he did and I’m not sure they think he can repeat.
