Saw a report that possibly his ear was not grazed by a bullet, but rather by accelerated debris from the nearby teleprompter as a bullet hit that first. That makes more physics sense as to why his ear is still intact on the close ups immediately after.

Awful news. Juan Giménez, one of the greatest artists comics has ever known passed away from Covid-19. Incredibly saddened by this. Many of his awe inspiring works sit on my shelves. This damn virus is taking away so much from us in so many ways.

Fuck. I’m shocked to hear about the loss of the brilliant John Paul Leon. Such a tremendous artist. He was very gracious the few times I met him. We sort of got started in comics around the same time. His work is inspirational.

Last month I had a package to send from the United States to the United Kingdom. USPS wanted $20 to send it, while FedEx wanted $200. To send a letter in the U.S. costs under $1, but that same letter costs about $20 with FedEx.

How many IP farms can there possibly be accepted in comics? I’ve gotten to a point where I’ve grown cynical enough from all of that, that every time I see some new start up imprint, production company, or publisher, my first thought “ugh, just another IP farm.” It’s disappointing

I’m in shock about Ed Piskor. I had no idea about the troubles being cited in his letter. His comics are so uniquely engaging. While I’m genuinely disturbed and saddened by what I’ve read so far about things he’d been facing, I’d appreciate someone directing to a reliable source.
