This result suggests that even the *same runner* would get somewhat different LT2 heart rates when getting tested at different labs!

@blackatlantic Ideally? Data from an all-out race! Failing that: 20 minutes progressive run, then 4 strides with jogging rest, then: 3 x (1 min at 3k effort, 1 min jog) 4 minutes done as (2 min at controlled mile/1500m effort + 2 min all-out)

Preliminary results from a new project: LT1 occurs at 69-94% HRmax in 9 out of 10 runners. Data pooled from 7 studies totaling 140 subjects. Results for LT2, plus %HRR and %VO2max coming soon!

Running 5:00/mi effort into 15 mph winds results in 5:24/mi for a 120 lb runner and 5:21 for a 180 lb runner. And that's a 50% difference in body mass!
