Keep an eye on Rory’s left knee from transition you can quite clearly see his left knee travels towards the ball of his left foot a strong place for his vertical then to his heal. One very important thing is Rory never lets his left knee go outside his left foot.
Elite Level Lag From The Player In Blue, The Amateur Chucks His Angles Out Early Resulting In Flip For Thin Weak High shots. This Was Due To Poor Sequencing From The Ground. Great Visual From Gears.
Tour average pelvis turn. They resist on the way back and turn hard on the way down. On average the amateur always turns more on the way back and less at impact. This results in loss of power & poor sequencing. 👍
Rory’s elbows start at 13 inches apart & stay roughly the same through out his swing. Most amateurs start at 13 inches then work there elbows wide apart on the backswing resulting in out to in paths.
The Average Tour Pros Body Lines. You will notice a key part of a healthy swing is the spine angle starts roughly 90 degrees & stays at 90 degrees until the top. Once again you want hips knees & toes level at address this will allow you to move correctly through the swing.👍
Rory Mcllroys Main Power Source When Does This Happen & How Is It Caused. Majority Of Amateur’s Stay in To Much Left Knee Flexion At Impact You Can Quite Clearly See Rory Uses The Ground & Pushes Out Putting His Left Knee Almost Straight At impact. Use The Ground Properly 💪
Rory’s Iron Swing Wide To Narrow.
This move is created by great ground forces putting a force on the club to create LAG. This is a must for strong penetrating shots. 👍
Stop Coming Over The Top With This Simple Golf Drill.
Give this a try next time you're at the range or in the garden at home and you'll never come over the top again.
Rory’s grip speed the elite move the club fast then slow then fast again. Most amateurs move to slow off the ball then can’t get the speed into the club.
Bryson DeChambeau from below. Look how long his wrist position is locked in to control the face. This swing was taken on a 310 yard carry. Bryson lean at address is positive 1 degree & minus 0.43 of inch at impact.Just to clarify no angles are held they are created by good moves
Rory’s right foot how it works in transition. To many golfers go straight to there right toe which pulls the right hip forward leading to early extension & flips. 👍
Rory Mcllroys Grip Speed = 24 MPH Whats His Clubhead Speed & Where Does He Reach Peak Grip Speed. First One To Answer Both Correct Wins Free Gears & Swing Catalyst 90 Min Lesson At JD Golf Academy. You Must Share & Like To Qualify
Do you struggle with vertical force. If so you’re probably not using the ground correctly. This video will show you how the Tour Pros really use there lead knee to produce power into the club.
Rory’s lead arm adduction angle. This is how far your lead arm travels across your chest. Rory’s at address is 80 degrees then gets to the top & only loses 17 degrees the key part to all of this is his lead arm stays on his chest for a short time in transition then comes off.
Bryson’s trail shoulder works initially into external rotation in transition. Most amateurs work straight into internal. Which cause out to in swings & poor strikes.
Do you suffer with loss of power. If so watch the Tour Pro how he constantly drops with his pelvis & ribcage. Then when he pushes up to transfer energy to the club. 👍
Vertical Force Drill. Stop getting stuck in your own golf swing. Jump up through your left side to gain speed and extend your angles to strike it better and hit it further.
Tour Average Grip Speed. You will see on the left he gets to 22 MPH grip speed but look how early it gets there. An amateur can get the same grip speed but it’s always much later. The idea is the earlier then you have more time to get it out into the club. 22MPH = 99 CHS 5iron 💪
A Key Power Move For Rory As He Starts Down In Transition You Will See His Left Knee & His Lead Wrist Work Very Closely Together. As Rory Extends His Lead Knee This Has An Effect On His Wrist Angles So He Doesn’t Chuck Them Out It Helps Him Keep Them. Great For Power. 💪
Real student lesson. This client came in complaining of an over swing and could never fix it. Worked on aligning spine angle at the top and this changed so many other faults for FREE. Get measured don’t guess. 👍
This Student Came In Complaining Of Weak Heal Strikes With No Compression. Others Told Him To Move Further Away. I Moved Him Closer Used The Ground Properly He Then Found The Middle Starting Compressing The Ball. Ball Speed Gained Yardage Gained. Message If This Sounds Like You.
Average Tour Pro Virtual Spine Angle. This remains within a few degrees of 90 until transition. So so important, if this is not correct it will put a force on the club to get off path.
K J Choi. The point to this clip is no two individuals are the same. Golfers are built differently you must be measured before you take a lesson. At JD Golf Academy no golfer starts a 3D lesson without being measured. We need to see how you can physically move.
Rory McllRoys Sequence of his pelvis & see when measuring with Gears how close they both work together. Rory re centres nice and early his ribcage then gets ahead. He uses the ground to push up his top half stops & his pelvis overtakes.Rory frames the ball
The Average Tour Pro look at his head rotate. This allows him to rotate his torso & get his club around the corner. Remember this really applies if you have the club shallowing on the downswing. If you’re over the top I would not recommend doing this.
