The #Chiefs are expected to hire Matt House as a senior defensive assistant, sources tell @CBSSports/@247Sports. A return to Kansas City for House, who won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019. Worked for the Jaguars last year after two seasons as LSU’s defensive coordinator.

Wonder if he’s getting consideration because he knows he’ll never work again otherwise so he’s cool with running the scouts & having the GM title in name only while Coen makes all the decisions. I’m sure Waugh would be the same way. The young guys will have other opportunities.
Sources: The #Jaguars will interview former #Titans GM Jon Robinson for their open GM position. Robinson also interviewed with the #Jets earlier this offseason.

Fun historical fact: New #Saints coach Kellen Moore and QB Derek Carr met once in college as starting QBs -- with No. 5 Boise St. blowing out Fresno St., 57-7 in 2011. Moore had 254 passing yards and 3 TDs, Carr had 126 and an INT, the second largest loss for Carr at any level.

I’m a broken Jags fan until I’m not. I still think it’s Waugh until it isn’t.
Was told this morning that Ian Cunningham is the likely choice, like I said weeks ago. He has brought up bringing Joe Douglas into the front office as well. Heard the only other candidates with a slight chance are James Gladstone & Ethan Waugh if they kill the interviews.

The former NFL GM:
I'm told that the #Jaguars have formally expressed interest in interviewing a former NFL GM for their current vacancy, per sources. We'll see if that interest manifests into organizing dialogue in a formal setting. Interestingly enough a league source gave me the name of a former NFL GM to keep an eye on through the #Jags GM process --two weeks ago.
