I was never a sports consumer until I realized we have a women's cricket team. These are the people who made me fall in love with this sport. Cricket will never be the same for me.
Thank you Captains for everything

Requesting everyone not to share the image of that protestor who came to steal the limelight wearing free palestine T shirt. He wanted eyeballs. Stop giving it by sharing the image.
Babar Azam, Asif Ali and Mohammad Rizwan are only 3 Pakistani Players who won ICC Player of the Month award. Babar is only player in the world to win this award Twice

Urooj and Bismah are from the first generation of women cricketers in Pakistan. The legacy of the first generation of a sports team can never be defined by their performances on the field. Their legacies are defined by where they left the team in comparison with when they joined.
NIDA DAR
Lied at home to play cricket and was used to traveling from Gujranwala to Lahore on a bike. Dropped multiple times from the team and have gone through financial, personal, and professional crises.
STILL STANDING TALL. LEGEND
Pictures of men cricketers with a family surface more often than women cricketers but no one would call it drama I want Fatima's pictures after every match, especially after losses so the coming generation of women cricketers wouldn't have to feel forced guilt for having families
@imfemalecricket
@maroof_bismah
Stop this drama nd let the people question pak players nd management. But you guys start posting these pictures just to divert from real topic. This isn't gonna help females cricket.
Nida Dar & her team did not even get like 20% of the facilities that Shadab and his team get so you all can just stop with the comparison. Nida taking 100 wickets is always going to mean more. Thank You.
Every woman in Pakistan has a story when it comes to harassment. You are naive if you think it's about a profession or about women who go out and the women who stay at home haven't faced any such thing.
Regardless of whichever side anyone has chosen to believe how can people be so blind to the fact that PCB has walked directly into something that can be harmful to the brand image if it gets attention from international media?
One of the biggest reasons our women's team is stuck in this phase is because of the scarcity of resources. 🧵
Since 2021 we had two domestic tournaments (senior) consisting of 14 one-days and 7 T20s. On average we can say a player maybe got 12 quality matches. (1/3)
I want to say something really terrible but I know I'm going to feel bad about it later.
But the way these lowlifes disrespect our players is just shameless. And shame on everyone who gives views to these people.
Chairman did a press conference for a squad announcement of a random series but announce the resignation of a national captain via a tweet at midnight. JOKER
Kinda feeling emotional seeing all these interactions cricket world hasn't been equally inclusive for everyone.
Can't wait for the league to be launched so the playing field can be leveled for real ✌️💚
In 2015 I made an account solely to follow women cricketers Back in the day it was a community of hardly 10 people we followed WC religiously and fought with haters.
Seeing the followers of women's cricket grow is so heartwarming
Keep it up everyone ❤️
I was thinking of this during
#PAKvAFG
how impulsive and obsessive behavior is prevailing but didn't tweet now let's take this as an example.
Because the other person is an anchor who is supposed to know how to formulate opinions but instead is resorting to trolling (1/n)
When ESPNcricinfo contacted the Pakistan Cricket Board for this story, for instance, they declined to comment on how their players deal with menstrual health, saying it was a matter of "sensitivity and cultural issues".
If only we had women representing this country for decades breaking records and barriers we wouldn't have to look at white women to be the face of our cricket only if
Bismah's journey as captain 🧵
Bismah took over as a full-time captain in 2017. She was leading the side as T20I captain since 2016 and had led the side to the semifinal of the Asia Cup in the same year. (1/n)
#StoryTime
Bismah had grown with the Pakistan team or the Pakistan team had grown with Bismah one can never tell but one thing we can say with surety she has been our strongest pillar.
May she continue to rise ❤️
@maroof_bismah
Nepal vs Hongkong has been also abandoned and that means we are in semis. If Ind vs Pak also washed out we will play Bang in the semifinal. And if the semifinals also washed out Ind and Bang will play final. And if the final also gets washed out they will give trophy to Jay Shah
Dear Team Pakistan
Congratulations and Well done for fighting against the odds and winning despite the system betraying you every day. For believing in yourself when your own don't. One day you will get all that you deserve 🤗💚
In our first bilateral series vs NZ, we lost all matches. 2nd time we came across in bilaterals we took a victory and some close losses. This time we have already sealed a series. What I'm saying is that team building is a slow process and with trust and support we will get there
Hi PCB
Hope this tweet finds you well.
I was hoping you can find time from your busy schedule and give us an update on the women's one-day championship that is supposed to start on 5th May, and as we are on it please update whether departments are making teams or not.
Thanks
PCB has three retired Captains who built our women's team on their backs. It's high time PCB involved them in the women's wing, especially at the grassroots and to build the U19 setup.
We must appreciate and recognize the services of the most successful batting pair for Pakistan women's cricket in ODIs & T20Is, Javeria Khan and Bismah Maroof, who retired from international cricket during last few days. Their partnership wasn't just about runs. It was about
Bismah had grown with the Pakistan team or the Pakistan team had grown with Bismah one can never tell but one thing we can say with surety she has been our strongest pillar.
May she continue to rise ❤️

Confidence is a good thing but overconfidence is dangerous.

Four hours have passed no word yet from PCB. People are speculating and debating a lot of our players might be getting msgs from their friends and family or maybe even from international cricketers asking if the news is true. (1/2)
The problem with trying to unearth things related to women's cricket in Pakistan is you just can't find a legitimate source covering the story. It's like women's cricket is forbidden territory I get the sensitivity attached but the lack of coverage is still baffling (1/n)

From this to nothing...
Another day of PCB failing women who play under their banner another day of criminal silence from the cricket community. For how long are we supposed to keep hoping that things will get better?
Because they are not getting better not by the long shot.
Appreciation tweet for Megan Schutt one of very few international cricketers who have not shied away from showing their support for the people of Palestine ❤️
Those asking where she was when it was happening to Babar need to retrospect a lot because at least she is speaking for them now and that is much more than any of the MEN CRICKETERS HAVE EVER DONE FOR THEM
"If you were treated viciously, the least you can do is to not dish out that treatment to someone else. That is how you break the cycle of negativity."

, it's hard to express in words how much you have accomplished on and off the field. You have been one of our strongest pillars and your journey will continue to inspire girls all over the world. I hope you keep breaking barriers one way or another ❤️
Sending you smiles for every moment of your special day…😀
I hope your special day is the beginning of another amazing year 😍💕

Imagine being a team coming back home with a WC and facing institutionalized sexism and harassment so bad that you all have to resign.
Contrary to what people paddle on this app winning doesn't fix system for the women athletes.
🚨 All 23 players of Spain’s World Cup squad have signed this statement and have resigned from the national team.
The statement is also signed by 58 current and past players.
Warm birthday wishes for our champ girl 🙌
On this wonderful day, I wish you the best that life has to offer! ❤

Pakistani women still struggling to find quality pacers one of the reasons is the non-existent street cricket and even when we find pacers injuries happen Sana mir, Maham Tariq and even aiman Anwar had major injury scares. The question is what
@TheRealPCB
is doing?
So sidra nawaz and Wyatt's team has been switched.
Who made these teams in the first place and who has made changes now?
This is what happens when you don't have a selection committee in place.
Someone who wanted to just bunk the economics class someone who breaks into the team as a bowler and someone who is renting as one of the best batters to ever represent Pakistan.
I'm sad but happy for her she has achieved so much 🥹 I will miss you capt

Randomly thinking how the Eng women's cricket team was supposed to tour Pak in 2021 along with their men's squad and it was canceled, and how PCB only rescheduled the men's tour
Yes I'm still bitter and angry
I saw this tweet and went through PCB records trying to find when was the last time Bismah lost a domestic T20 title and it was in 2011😯
P.S. there is a slight chance this is incorrect due to the ridiculous way PCB has put records on their website.
Kinda double-minded with Sana coming into power. I hope she and bismah will be able to bury the hatchet (if it exists) otherwise it will be more destructive than Urooj vs Sana ever was.
Don't let anything make you forget that PCB has appointed Abdul Razzaq one of the most sexist ex-cricketers out there as a member of the women's team selection committee today.
Hello Karachi
I know NSK sucks but a women's team series means tickets for good stands at less prices and no usual VVIPs or extra drama over security and nail bitting thrillers are promised. So you know what to do Show up❤️

Absolutely love the resilience of Arshad Nadeem but stop with making it sound like athletes asking for funds is a bad thing we shouldn't be waiting for a superhero to arrive every decade to give us something to cheer in sports we need to start creating these heroes dummies
