One thing I love about the Chicago scene is that everything seems possible living there. You’re not burden with crazy costs of living. There’s work there, lots of kick ass venues. To me, its the ideal place to be in music. NYC is too costly & money ends up being too important

Mdou Moctar put on one of the greatest shows I’ve seen in a long time. Like watching a Saharan Jimi Hendrix. Plus, Bombino came out! Great night seeing music solo. No one to chomp at me. Beautiful
