Update 11:00 AM: Thanks to joint efforts, Alison has been located, and is in the process of reuniting her with her family. Alison was located in Alabama, and we want to thank the Madison Police Department for their full cooperation in this investigation. At the time of discovery, Alison was accompanied by a juvenile male, and the investigation is still ongoing to determine whether charges are warranted.
Update 2:00 am: Unfortunately, with Alison believed to be in another state, she does not meet the criteria for the AMBER/ATHENA Alert. However, we are working on other alerts and contacting nearby states to get the word out any way we can. If the investigation leads to her being back in Texas, the alert will be activated at that time. At approximately 11:00 p.m., the Irving Police Department was contacted regarding a child who left her home on foot around 10:00 a.m. to attend a birthday party nearby but never showed up there. As of now, we are in the process of activating an #AthenaAlert with the Texas Department of Public Safety for Alison, 12 years of age. We have reason to believe that she may be in Alabama or surrounding states. We encourage parents to speak with children who may be friends with Alison to see if there is any information they can share that could help find Alison. Anyone with information on Alison’s whereabouts should dial 911 immediately. PLEASE SHARE.

🚨Traffic Alert 🚨 If you are traveling through Irving, please be aware of lane closures on both Eastbound IH635 and Northbound SH161 near MacArthur Blvd. Both highways currently have lanes shut down due to a fatal multi-vehicle accident. Service roads are accessible, and traffic will be diverted onto Las Colinas Blvd for SH161 and at MacArthur Blvd for IH635.

#WhoDoneItWednesday On December 22, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a gray truck on N. Britian Rd. The truck did not stop to render aid, and may have not even realized they hit someone. We request the public’s assistance identifying this vehichle and the driver involved in this incident. Come rain or shine, sleet or snow, we’ll be there for you! In 48 hours, during the latest wintery mix, officers responded to (not all types of calls are listed): -12 Major Accidents -40 Minor Accidents -28 Noise Complaints -37 Domestic Violence -20 Traffic Hazards -14 Traffic Complaints -84 Traffic Stops -33 Assist Citizens -7 DWI Complaints Luckily, there were no serious injuries involved in these incidents, and our officers were also able to stay safe while responding! Stay safe, Irving!

This includes the Court, Property, and Records department located at 305 N. O’Connor Rd. Please continue to stay warm and stay off the roads.
Due to inclement winter weather, all non-essential City of Irving offices and facilities, including the Hunter Ferrell Landfill and Customer Service, will close Friday, Jan. 10 for visitors and non-essential staff.
