Jim Irsay and Tiger. "Tiger” was Jerry Garcia’s primary guitar from 1979 to 1989 and can be heard on many Grateful Dead recordings. It was also the last guitar Garcia played at his final concert with the Grateful Dead. Tiger was added to The Jim Irsay Collection in 2002.

John Lennon's 1963 Gretsch Chet Atkins Guitar was played on multiple studio recordings by The Beatles, including their Billboard number one hit, Paperback Writer. Lennon gave the guitar to his cousin, David Birch, in 1967. It is now a treasured part of the Jim Irsay Collection.

The "Black Strat". David Gilmour played it on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall and Wish You Were Here. The guitar is featured on Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Comfortably Numb. It sold for $3.9 million in 2019 and was the most expensive guitar ever sold at that time.
