@irishmissionun
's new Permanent Representative Fergal Mythen. Looking forward to working closely together at the

Sham referenda held in
#Ukraine
are a blatant land grab.
Such acts of aggression will never deter us from supporting the people of Ukraine, as I said in the
#SecurityCouncil
today.
The sham referenda are:
➡️ Illegal because they violate the UN🇺🇳 Charter;
➡️ Illegitimate because they do not reflect the will of the Ukrainian people.
At

I'm in Doha for the 5th UN Conference on Least Developed Countries.
Great to meet with partners, civil society & youth who are all so passionate about achieving the
#SDGs
.
Important as Ireland & Qatar continue our co-facilitation of the Political Declaration of the
#SDGSummit
.

I echoed Minister Coveney's words at the
#UNSC
today. Ireland will not apologise for being on the side of international law, the UN Charter, & the side of
#Ukraine
.
We urge Russia to heed repeated calls of the General Assembly to end its illegal aggression, & restore peace.
Ireland will be making no apology for being on the side of International law, the UN Charter, the side of Ukraine & the right side of history.
Russia should end its illegal war of aggression, stop killing innocent civilians & shelling of infrastructure.
