Avery joins Norwegian top flight side Bodø/Glimt (@bodoglimtkvinner) on a contract through the summer of 2026. Bodø/Glimt’s head coach, Cato Hansen, previously a professional center back himself, is very excited to work with Avery. Way to go, Avery! We’re excited to see what you will achieve in the coming years! Avery is a tall, powerful center back/outside back from Wrentham, Massachusetts, United States. She played four years of university football at Providence College and one year at the University of Indiana, starting all 85 out of 85 matches and accumulating a total of 7,564 minutes of game time. During her career, she contributed 9 goals and 3 assists. In her five seasons, Avery was an All-Conference and All-Region player, an All-Conference Tournament Team player, a three-time All-Conference weekly honor roll recipient, as well as a two-time NEWISA All-New England Second Team honoree. After transferring to the University of Indiana for her final year of university football, she was a Graduate Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch and was also recognized as a Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Avery has a bachelor degree in marketing with a minor in writing from Providence College and a business management certificate from Indiana University. Congratulations to Josie Aulicino (@josieaulicino) for signing her first pro contract and welcome to Inspired XI! She joins Box Hill United (@boxhillutd) in the NPL Victoria in Australia through the end of the 2025 season. Josie is a talented midfielder, known for her offensive contributions and playmaking ability from Northville, Michigan. She played five years of college soccer at Northwestern University, accumulating over 7,400 minutes of game time. She started all 87 matches of her university career and contributed 25 goals and 31 assists. In her five years with Northwestern, Josie was a five-year starter, an All-Conference and All-Region player, as well as a Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 player. She led the Big Ten Conference in game winning goals (2021), was third in conference assists (2021), fifth in conference points (2021), second in conference points (2022), third in conference assists (2022) and fifth in conference goals (2022). She is the all-time program assist record holder with 31 total. Throughout her career, she has consistently ranked among the top players in the Big Ten. Notably, during the 2023 season, she earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring a hat trick and recording three assists in a single game against Oakland. This performance set a school record for points in a game (9). Before joining Northwestern, Josie was part of the United States U16 national team. Josie has a bachelor degree in biological sciences with a minor in global health from Northwestern. She loves skiing, baking and photography, and was a former competitive downhill ski racer. Congrats to Momo Nakao (@momo0309peach) for signing her first professional contract with Celtic FC (@celticfcwomen)! A dream of hers since watching Japanese players with the Celtic men’s team as a child, Momo joins the Scottish top flight (@SWPL) team through the summer of 2026. Way to go, Momo! We’re so stoked for you! Momo is a creative attacking midfielder originally from Inzai City, Chiba, Japan. She played with the JEF United Chiba women’s team as a teenager where she won the U18 National Championship and also played with the senior team. She was involved in the Japan youth national team at the U16, U17 and U19 levels. In 2021, she moved to the United States to play college soccer at the University of Memphis, playing with the team for four seasons. During her college career, Momo received numerous awards and was recognized as an All-Region, All-Conference and All-Rookie player. She started all 79 matches in her university career, contributing 15 goals and 15 assists while amassing over 6,500 minutes of game time. In 2023, Nakao was named AAC Midfielder of the Year and contributed significantly to Memphis’s Sweet Sixteen run in the NCAA Tournament. That season, she tallied five goals and six assists while playing a crucial role in the Tigers’ third consecutive AAC tournament championship, where she also earned All-Tournament Team honors. In 2024, she captained the team, led them to a conference championship and was also named to the TDS Midseason Top 100 Players list. Momo has a bachelor degree in sports management from the University of Memphis. Maddy is a dominant goalkeeper from Seabrook, Texas. She played five seasons of college soccer at Mississippi State University, accumulating over 8,100 minutes of game time. During her career, she set program records for goalkeeper minutes played in a single season (2,092), shutouts in a single season (11), shutouts in a career (28), career wins (48) and most goalkeeper starts in program history (83). She also holds university career records for goals against average (0.84) and save percentage (79%). While at Mississippi State, Maddy won the SEC Championship and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in 2024. Maddy has received numerous individual accolades, as well. She is a three-time All-Conference player, was named to the All-Tournament and All-Freshman teams, has been recognized as the SEC Defensive Player of the Week on 7 occasions and twice on the TDS Team of the Week. In 2024, she was named the SEC Goalkeeper of the Year. Maddy also captained her side during both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Finally, she is a Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree and CSC Academic All-American. Maddy has a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a master of science in sports pedagogy. She enjoys painting, playing with her cat, shopping and fishing. She knows how to Speed Stack, she played (American) football in high school and her initials MJ (Madelynn Jewel) are after Michael Jordan. Lauren is a goalkeeper from San Clemente, California. She played five seasons of college soccer at UCLA, where she won the NCAA National Championship in 2022. During her college career, she was recognized as an All-American, Scholar All-American, All-Region, All-Conference, Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and All-Freshmen player. While at UCLA, she started 77 matches, amassing over 6,500 game minutes and achieving career goals against average of only 0.65 and a career save percentage of over 83%. She tied the school record for single-season victories with 22 and holds single-season records for goals against average and saves. She is in the UCLA top 5 in career saves (234), wins (59), goals against average (0.65) and shutouts (29). Lauren was a record 8-time Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week. She was named to the TDS Team of the Week 5 times, as well as ranked in the TDS Top 100 and TDS college conference Top 20 for three years in a row. She was also in the College News Team of the Week four times. Lauren was drafted by the San Diego Wave during the 2023 NWSL Draft. She played with San Diego for one season before moving to Vittsjö GIK in the Damallsvenskan, the top league in Sweden. Lauren is also the starting goalkeeper of the Hungary women’s national team. Lauren has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, a minor in education and a masters in education, all from UCLA. She was a dual-sport athlete in college, also playing softball. Claudia played college soccer at St. John’s University. Despite her young age, Claudia already has experience playing at a number of teams across Europe and has also played in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. In 2018 and 2022, she represented Peru at the Copa America, starting all but one match.
