The new General Hospital in Kaltungo has been completed and now functional. In 2020, Gombe decided to extend secondary healthcare to all the three zones so as to ensure inclusivity. Thus additional General Hospitals were built in Kaltungo (Gombe South) and Kumo (Gombe Central).
