@mohamadkaisi @WalstarW @riachi_jean You’re right on gold, but the real issue is that Lebanon’s reserves are politically inaccessible. The crisis isn’t a liquidity problem, it’s a solvency crisis. I completely agree with you, the only real way forward is systemic banking & economic reform, nothing less will do.

@OmarTamo19 The classic Lebanese strategy: deny reality, pretend the laws of economics don’t apply & let depositors rot while the corrupt stay untouched. Surely, if we just believe hard enough, $80 billion will materialize out of thin air! Truly, financial wizardry at its finest 🙄

@riachi_jean This isn’t just tone deaf, it’s outright insulting. No amount of diplomatic polish can mask the betrayal of thanking an aggressor at the expense of one’s own people. Arrogance isn’t just in sneering smiles; it’s in whitewashing occupation & war under the guise of civility.

@riachi_jean I respect your consistency, and Hezbollah’s role in the crisis is undeniable. But framing it as the only cause oversimplifies things. Corruption, mismanagement & financial malpractice ran deep long before. True change means holding all enablers accountable, not just one side.

@WalstarW @riachi_jean Excellent quote, Wal. 🙏🏼 I’m growing weary of the widespread resignation among many Lebanese; the idea that we must simply accept our fate rather than shape it. In my humble opinion, taking control begins with introspection.
