Gentle push against the wall (Alps). Weak low level winds constrained the fog/low cloud sheet to the western arch of the Po Valley. #FCI VIS0.64 channel at 500m.

@eumetsat_users Side view from the north was beautiful (ca south of Belgrade), revealing thickness of the DIBS band (#FCI view later that day shows high transparency, background shades/colours noticeable).

View over #StormEowyn through the eyes of #MTG-I1 #FCI instrument. Notice how clear skies appear hazy over the sea, around the storm center (occlusion) - this is due to a strong winds (sea spray and white caps enhancing the reflection) .

Run around Madagascar. Life-cycle of TC Dikeledi captured with 8-day loop of #FCI GeoColour RGB. Luckily not very impactful one (mostly lived as Cat 1 storm).

Which cloud is the highest one? Really a question for monkeys J. Height calculation is only a step up, simple trigonometry - having in mind the location and scanning time (ie Sun angle), and distance scale. Lovely resolving power of #FCI over SW Indian Ocean.

A baby vortex (see it?) playing around a big one in the Mozambique channel, ie around #TC #Dikeledi (tropical storm strength at the moment, plans to re-intensify to Cat 2) . Geo Colour RGB of #MTG #FCI earlier today.

Yellow-blue-yellow colour sandwich along the Velebit mountain yesterday. Yellow (water) cloud, lower than than blue (snow) mountain ridge, and that stronger yellow in the west is just a Sun refection (from steep cloud-free mountain slopes). #Meteosat-12 CloudPhaseRGB

@OdedRechavi There are many chasing you from behind, notice. And all I see is the cloud dynamics in the wake area behind updrafts at the anvil level with stronger convective storm-relative winds :)

These transverse cirrus bands over W and N Africa are sign of a strong jet stream at tropopause level. Nicely seen with #FCI True Colour RGB, today at 8:20UTC.
